Cement grout is porous. In a shower it soaks up water, grows mould and breaks down, often within a few years. Epoxy grout is non-porous and doesn't need sealing, and it's far more resistant to water, mould and staining. It takes longer to install and the material costs more, which is why epoxy quotes are higher than cement ones. We only use epoxy.
